Politeness Weeks: Living Respect Together!

 |

Through playful learning and a competition, we promote a friendly school environment.

As part of our school values education program, we would like to focus on respectful and polite interaction with one another. That is why we are organizing a special project over the next two weeks: our Politeness Weeks.

In the first week, we work with the children to develop and practice basic forms of politeness, such as saying "please" and "thank you", listening attentively, speaking respectfully to each other and helping each other. The aim is to teach the children important skills for polite behavior and to encourage them to consciously implement these in everyday school life.

In the second week, we will be launching a small in-house competition: the children will collect points for polite and attentive behavior. The points will be counted every day and visualized on a politeness scale in the school.

All children will receive a symbol of recognition for their participation in the project, and at the end of the project there is a reward for the class with the most points and the children who have excelled - because politeness should not only be learnt but also rewarded.

Our long-term goal is to integrate good behavior as an expression of respect for one another into the children's everyday lives.
